About Us

Students can arrive as early as 6:30am

  • 1st Breakfast is served at 7:00am – 2nd Breakfast is served at 9:10am
  • First Bell – 7:40am
  • Tardy Bell – 7:45am
  • Lunch times –
    • Monday thru Thursday from 11:00am to 11:45am
    • Friday from 11:20am to 12:05pm
  • Dismissal Bell – 2:45pm
  • Early Release Dismissal Bell – 11:15am

SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL 

  • Diverse student population that challenges themselves to learn. 
  • Highly qualified staff that cares about their students and spends that extra time to help them be successful. 
  • Offers a wide variety of concurrent and dual enrollment classes in conjunction with LCCC. 
  • Offers a wide variety of extra curricular activities that all students can participate in. 
  • Offers a large variety of AP and honors classes for students to get Charter Schools the best possible education. 
  • HOPE teams identify struggling students and place them in the interventions necessary to help them be successful. 
  • Advisory class is offered where students learn relationship building, culture development and have extra time for school work. 
  • Diverse, accepting culture where everyone feels comfortable and safe. 
  • Provides opportunity for a studentled leadership class that promotes developing student leaders. 
  • PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support) program, AVID Advancement Via Individual Determination) classes that extend leaning opportunities for students. 
  • Provides social emotional support in the form of district supported Sources of Strength and a strong MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) program.

The Purple Star Program School logo features a star and a bison.

The Wyoming Purple Star School Designation Award for military-friendly schools recognizes schools that demonstrate a major commitment to serving students and families connected to our nation’s armed forces. The program was designed to help with the challenges of high mobility by setting standards of commitment for the school’s award of the military-friendly Purple Star designation.
